Watershed Progressive is hiring a Construction Supervisor to lead transformative, hands-on installations in the Sierra Nevada and beyond!
Join our passionate team in advancing our mission: “connecting communities with their watersheds through integrated strategies for a healthy, resilient future.” Based in Groveland (near Yosemite) with Eastern Sierra ties, you'll oversee landscape construction projects that integrate greywater reuse, rainwater harvesting, stormwater management, bioswales, rain gardens, and native plantings—building water-wise, ecologically sustainable landscapes that protect and restore Sierra watersheds.
This role offers real impact: Lead crews on regenerative projects, mentor field teams, and help shape resilient communities in one of California's most inspiring natural regions.
About the Position Key Responsibilities:
- Check in weekly with Project Managers to evaluate personnel needs and project status.
- Create and update 4-week forecasted construction calendars monthly, adjusting for delays, change orders, or new work.
- Manage annual project forecasts and recommend hiring/layoffs to the Hub Director based on capacity.
- Represent the Installation Hub on the Operations Committee, communicating priorities, scheduling, and forecasting.
- Collaborate with Project Managers and the Hub Director to plan, schedule, and execute construction projects.
- Generate/finalize cost estimates for proposals/bids and material lists for LID/water conservation projects.
- Provide oversight, training, and quality control on complex or commercial installations.
- Deliver weekly written status reports to the Hub Director, including updated budgets and tracked deliverables.
- Handle data collection, file sharing, client communication, and site ecological assessments (e.g., schematics for water resource planning and adaptive field decisions).
- Lead construction projects, ensure QC for hub deliverables, and manage Installation Hub projects overall.
Required Qualifications & Experience:
- 2+ years relevant coursework or practical experience in water, wastewater, groundwater, stormwater, or recycled water fields (e.g., resource planning, modeling, regulatory analysis, project management).
- At least 3 advanced certifications (or equivalent): ARCSA, QWEL, PDC, Water-Pro, ALDA, QSD/QSP.
- 2+ years of supervisory experience in adaptive field management and quality control.
- Proven experience with construction cost estimates, site grading/drainage plans, utility design (hydrology/hydraulics), and stormwater treatment.
- Hands-on management of installations for commercial/public LID/green infrastructure projects.
- Familiarity with onsite LID/water resource calculations and watershed-based monitoring data collection/metadata.
- Strong skills in Microsoft Office (especially Excel for tracking/forecasting).
- Ability to travel across California as needed; valid driver's license.
LOCATION: Primarily Groveland, CA (Tuolumne County, near Yosemite) / Eastern Sierra area, with projects across California. On-site presence in Groveland and travel to project sites are required. Ideal for those who thrive in the Sierra Nevada's stunning mountains, forests, and resilient outdoor communities.
