Position Overview
We’re seeking a Graphic Designer who combines strong digital design skills with an adaptable creative style. You’ll help build and refine the Homegrown National Park visual identity—designing web templates, illustrations, and digital materials that carry a modern vintage / WPA-inspired aesthetic. You don’t need to have this style in your portfolio already, but you should be able to work confidently within it.

Key Responsibilities

• Design web templates and responsive page layouts in Figma, emphasizing mobile-first design.
• Help develop and refine the organization’s style guide and digital design system.
• Create illustrations and supporting graphics in a modern vintage / WPA-inspired style for use across web, print, and campaigns.
• Design flyers, social media graphics, and email visuals using Figma, Canva, and other tools.
• Collaborate with the marketing team to ensure visual consistency across platforms.
• Understand designing for WordPress and provide files, templates, and implementation guidance.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of mobile-first and responsive design best practices.
• Ability to create or adapt illustrations to a modern vintage / WPA-inspired style.
• Proficiency in Figma; familiarity with Canva and other design tools.
• Strong attention to detail, visual intuition, and communication skills.
• Experience with nonprofit, conservation, or mission-driven design work a plus.

• Compensation: Contract, per-project basis with a rate typically $40–$75/hour, depending on experience and project scope.
