Position Summary: The Corps Director for Southeast Conservation Corps (SECC) provides local leadership for a growing program within the Conservation Legacy family of programs. SECC is a dynamic and fast paced program which is celebrating 10 years of programming this year. SECC engages young adults in conservation service with land management partners and works from an operational base in Chattanooga which is known as a scenic hub for recreation with a low cost of living and a high quality of life. SECC project partners stretch across the beautiful state of Tennessee and other Southeastern states and include the US Forest Service, National Park Service, and local and municipal organizations and governments.
The next Corps Director for SECC will be passionate about a program which has a positive impact on the young adults participating as well as the natural environment throughout the state. Skills and experiences which are necessary in this position include budget management, supportive supervision, partnership development, strategic planning, and critical thinking.
