Join Rocky Mountain Youth Corps for an immersive outdoor experience on public lands! Our Conservation Corps and Youth Corps programs offer diverse skill-building opportunities all based within natural resource conservation and environmental education. Work alongside the Forest Service, National Park Service, Bureau of Land Management, Colorado Parks and Wildlife, and more to complete meaning service aimed at conserving the Rocky Mountian’s public lands. The experience can vary from backpacking to remote locations to build a bridge, to surveying invasive species in a wildland fire burn scar. One day you might help build a campground, and the next you could be blazing a new trail in the wilderness! Our Youth Program leadership positions focus on working with kids under 18, while the adult conservation corps is ages 18-30. Many of our positions are entry-level, so no experience is required, just a willingness to learn, get dirty, and work hard in the outdoors. Conservation Corps and Youth Corps is based on a crew model, so expect to spend a ton of time camping outdoors, hiking, and exploring Northwest Colorado’s natural beauty on your weekends with your fellow crew members. Positions generally run from April through mid-October with varied start/end dates. Compensation varies by position ranging from $525-$900/week for the Conservation Corps and Youth Corps. Lodging, transportation, food, showers, and laundry are provided. To learn more about our available positions please visit: https://www.rockymountainyouthcorps.org/employment.
