Seacamp is seeking enthusiastic, skilled marine educators to inspire the next generation of ocean stewards through hands-on science, field experiences, and outdoor learning in the Florida Keys. We are currently looking to fill positions for Summer 2026.

Position Overview

Daycamp Science Instructors are responsible for delivering engaging marine science and outdoor education programs while ensuring the safety, well-being, and positive camp experience for campers ages 7 - 12. This role combines teaching, leadership, boating, and mentorship in a dynamic coastal environment.

Our daycamp program is for campers that are not quite old enough to do our overnights, but are still equally as excited to learn about our oceans! The campers are dropped off at 8:30am and will be picked up at 5:30pm. However, after the campers are picked up, daycamp instructors continue to assist with other evening programs and activities.

  • Teach hands-on marine science and outdoor education programs through labs, field trips, discussions, and presentations
  • Lead snorkeling, boating, and field-based learning experiences in local marine environments

  • Serve as a cabin leader for a small group of campers (summer program)
  • Coordinate and support visiting school groups, including orientation, scheduling, and daily activities
  • Maintain scientific labs, equipment, and field gear in safe, functional condition
  • Uphold Seacamp’s conservation, safety, and operational standards
  • Actively participate in staff training, camp events, and community responsibilities
  • Contribute to a collaborative, professional, and supportive camp environment

Leadership & Responsibility

  • Take ownership of an assigned area of camp responsibility (e.g., lab equipment, science resources, unit leadership)
