Development Coordinator (VISTA)

Benefits Choice of $7,395 education award (to pay off qualified loans, or for educational expenses at Title IV schools) or $1,800 cash stipend upon completion of service Forbearance of federally qualified student loans (Stafford, Perkins, and some private loans)

  • Manage donor stewardship activities, including scheduling meetings and preparing thank-you cards and acknowledgments.
  • Ensure all business and donor contact information in the CRM is accurate and up to date.
  • Record interaction notes in the CRM following meetings, calls, and touchpoints.
  • Enter and track all sponsorships in the CRM.
  • Enter and track all donations in the CRM.
  • Assist with donor and partner communications, including drafting emails, updates, and impact stories.
  • Support grant development through research, drafting, editing, and tracking deadlines and reports.
  • Coordinate fundraising campaigns, events, and related outreach.
  • Help produce development materials such as one-pagers, brochures, slide decks, and social media content.
  • Maintain organized systems for funder deadlines, cultivation activities, and development workflows.
  • Support development and implementation of MSS’s annual fundraising strategy and work plan.
  • Conduct prospect research to identify and qualify new donor and sponsor opportunities.
  • Help track fundraising goals, pipeline activity, and campaign progress against targets.
  • Assist with moves management, including donor segmentation and cultivation planning.
  • Other project-related duties as assigned by the President & CEO
