Friends of Inti Wara Yassi (FIWY) is a UK‑registered charity supporting wildlife rescue, rehabilitation and conservation in Bolivia through our partner organisation, Comunidad Inti Wara Yassi (CIWY).
We are seeking an experienced Development Manager to lead FIWY’s fundraising activity, with a strong focus on grant funding, individual giving and digital campaigns.
Key Responsibilities
● Lead grant fundraising, including research, application writing, tracking deadlines, and managing reporting requirements.
● Coordinate Sponsor‑an‑Animal fundraising, including supporter onboarding, updates, and promotional activity.
● Plan and deliver online fundraising campaigns, including participation in The Big Give’s matched‑funding appeals.
● Manage donor stewardship, including thank‑you communications, donor records, and contribution to donor recognition activities.
● Produce supporter communications via Mailchimp, including newsletters and campaign emails.
● Maintain and update FIWY’s website (WordPress).
● Coordinate the preparation and publication of FIWY’s Annual Report.
● Work closely with FIWY trustees and CIWY colleagues in Bolivia to align fundraising with organisational priorities.
About You
● Proven experience in grant writing and fundraising, ideally within the charity, conservation or international development sector.
● Past success acquiring grants of at least £10,000 GBP.
● English: Excellent written and verbal English is essential, with the ability to write clear, persuasive funding applications, donor communications, and reports.
● Spanish (desirable): Working knowledge of Spanish is desirable to support communication with partner teams in Bolivia and to understand project information and reports. Fluency is not required.
● Highly organised, able to manage competing deadlines independently.
● Comfortable using shared digital tools (Google Drive, spreadsheets, Mailchimp, WordPress, Canva).
● Motivated by wildlife conservation and confident working with a small, remote team.
About the Role
This is a hands‑on role within a small charity. As FIWY grows, there may be opportunities to shape future systems and support roles, but the core focus remains practical fundraising delivery.

Please send a CV, cover letter, and 2-3 examples of previous fundraising achievements (such as grant proposals or online campaigns, as attached files or web links) to jon@intiwarayassi.org
