The expected end result is to effectively address natural resource issues in Polk County. This position is highly complex, requiring familiarity with a wide range of state and federal laws that govern District operations.
Our District Manager is also responsible for the daily operation of our office and provides leadership to our professional staff. This includes assigning duties, day-to-day supervision, informal and formal performance evaluations, and ensuring that staff and volunteers receive proper training.
This position requires you to work both in the office located in Dallas, and in the field. Some nights and weekends and overnight travel are necessary. A valid driver’s license is required.
To be successful in this role, you should have:
- Ten years of comparable experience managing an organization, agency, or business or equivalent combination of education and experience or a bachelor’s degree in biology, environmental science, natural resource management, business or public administration, or a related discipline, and five years of comparable experience managing an organization, agency, or business.
