The Rutland Natural Resource Conservation District (RNRCD) seeks qualified applicants for a full-time District Manager based in Rutland, Vermont. Working with the Board of Supervisors, the District Manager will assume all duties necessary to ensure the successful continuation and growth of Rutland District’s programs, projects, and services. The RNRCD represents and supports landowners, communities, and partners in identifying, developing, funding, and implementing programs/projects that will preserve or improve water quality, soil health, and wildlife habitat, protect the natural landscape and wildlife, support agricultural best practices, build climate resilience and stabilize conflicts between nature and the built environment.
Excellent verbal, written, computer, and customer service skills are required. Ideal candidate will have demonstrated project development, administrative skills and experience supporting business operations, and will be well organized and able to work independently with accurate attention to detail. A Bachelor’s degree in natural resources and/or three years of related experience is required.
Starting wage is $22.00 to $25.00 per hour, based on experience. Benefits include health, flexible hours, sick, holiday and a vacation leave package.
