Working with landowners to initate and implement conservatin practices, conduct educational workshops, and provide monthly reports to the Divide County Board of Supervisors.  This district technician will supervise and direct the tree planting, grass drill, pipeline plow, casoron and weed barrier programs.  Also design & install tree plantings and weed barrier in accordance with NRCS specifications; assist in the installation of weed barrier fabric, maintain all vehicles and equipment, along with the SCD tree storage building and cooler.  The technician will also be responsible for the demonstration plots and work with the NDSU Research Extension staff to install off-station plots.  Publicize conservation efforts in cooperation with NRCS District Conservationist and other district staff through quarterly newsletters, news articles, demonstration tours etc.  The district techncian will work in coooperation with the district and the NRCS office staff.    Techncian will become familiar with the NRCS Technicial Guilde, have good orginaliztion skills, be able to work indepentently, must be albe to use WORD, EXCEL Spreadsheet, ARCPRO Mapping, knowleged of equipment, (driving a tractor, hauling equipment on a trailer, have a valid drivers license, must be able to lift 75 lbs, be authorized to work in the United States and perform other duties that the Board of Supervisors deem necessary.
