New Leaf Eco Landscapes is seeking a motivated, hardworking individual to join our team for the season.

This position focuses on ecological restoration, native tree planting, invasive species management, and professional tree care operations in Columbia County, NY. The role combines hands-on fieldwork in ecological landscapes and forested settings with daily support of arboriculture and tree crew operations.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone interested in forestry, restoration ecology, arboriculture, land stewardship, or outdoor environmental work. Crew members will gain hands-on experience in native planting, invasive species management, equipment operation, and professional tree care practices.

This is a full-time seasonal position.

Position Details

• Full-time seasonal position (40 hrs/week)
• $25/hour
• Overtime paid at time-and-a-half

Responsibilities Include

• Native tree and shrub planting
• Invasive species management and removal
• Assisting with ecological restoration and landscape projects
• Supporting professional tree care operations
• Operating equipment such as:
• Mini skid steer
• Mini loader
• Mini excavator
• Tractor and PTO attachments
• Operating wood chipper and mini loaders
• Ground support for climbing and tree crew operations
• Chainsaw operation (experience preferred)
• Working collaboratively with crew members to complete projects safely and efficiently

Qualifications

• Experience operating equipment preferred
• Experience driving trucks and towing trailers preferred
• CDL not required, but a plus
• Interest in forestry, native plants, restoration ecology, or land stewardship strongly preferred
• Comfortable performing physically demanding outdoor work in varying weather conditions
• Able to work on uneven terrain and in forested environments
• Strong work ethic, dependable, punctual, and team-oriented
