Nisqually National Wildlife Refuge Complex is seeking two full-time AmeriCorps members to serve for ten and a half months beginning September 1 st 2018 as Environmental Education Coordinators at Billy Frank Jr. Nisqually and Grays Harbor National Wildlife Refuges.

Lead memorable trail walks with students of all ages. Learn to share the wonders of birds and wildlife with the next generation! AmeriCorps is a network of national service programs committed to improving lives and fostering civic engagement. Members commit their time to address critical community needs like increasing academic achievement, mentoring youth, fighting poverty, sustaining public lands, preparing for disasters, and more.

These positions provide a great opportunity to hone your skills as an environmental educator. Learn to connect students and nature through unique, hands-on environmental education programming. The AmeriCorps Members are responsible for the day-to-day operations of our education programs. A college degree in environmental education, environmental studies, or related field is desired. A monthly living stipend will be provided.
