About This Role

Pinnacle Communications Resource Co. partners with local governments and organizations to deliver community outreach programs across the Baltimore region. In this role, you'll be a visible ambassador for environmental health initiatives, connecting directly with residents and businesses to drive real community impact.

The Environmental Outreach Worker provides outreach services within Baltimore County, educating residents and businesses on environmental health issues including litter reduction, pet waste management, and related community wellness topics.

Hours & Compensation

This is an on-call, as-needed position with no guaranteed minimum hours per week. Hours vary based on event scheduling and program needs. Candidates must have broad availability Monday through Sunday, afternoons through early evenings.

Pay Rate: $19.00 per hour

Essential Responsibilities

  • Provides general information to individuals and businesses on anti-litter campaign objectives.
  • Staffs events on environmental health topics.
  • Distributes informational materials and literature to community members.
  • Delivers presentations to camps, schools, and community groups as needed.
  • Reports on community outreach activities and outcomes.
  • Maintains a professional and courteous manner to represent the organization positively in all community interactions.
  • Contributes to project management, data entry, and general office tasks.
  • Performs other duties as requested.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent (GED)
  • Valid driver's license and reliable personal transportation; must be able to transport lightweight materials
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience providing community education, outreach, canvassing, or public engagement services
  • Comfortable with public speaking or presenting to groups of varying sizes
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus
  • Familiarity with environmental health topics or community wellness programs
