The Hanover Conservancy, New Hampshire’s oldest local land trust, seeks a dynamic and experienced leader to guide its work in preserving and protecting the natural heritage of Hanover and the Upper Valley.
The Executive Director (ED) is the chief executive of the Hanover Conservancy and is responsible for implementing the organization’s mission, programs, and strategic goals. The ED provides leadership in land conservation and stewardship, community engagement, fundraising, and organizational management. This position reports directly to the volunteer Board of Directors and supervises a small but dedicated staff team.
The Hanover Conservancy (https://www.hanoverconservancy.org/) has a conservation footprint of nearly 3000 acres, including over 700 acres owned in fee and easements on an additional 590 acres, with the balance reflecting a long history of working collaboratively with town officials, local landowners, and regional conservation partners to protect and care for lands that enhance the ecological health and livability of our community.
