Requirements:
- MSC in Nature Conservation, Zoology, or related field (will accept BSC and relevant working experience in place of MSc)
- Valid driving license and at least 2 years experience in manual 4x4 driving
- 2-5 years field experience, preferably with mammal tracking, telemetry, and camera trapping
- Ability to work in remote environments, often under physically demanding conditions and late night hours; experience walking with big 5 is a plus
- Strong observational and data recording skills
- Experience with GIS, telemetry, or statistical analysis is a plus
- Comfortable working independently and in a team
- Passion for conservation and ethical wildlife research
- Animal husbandry experience is a plus
Responsibilities
- Conduct field surveys to monitor pangolin populations, behavior, and habitat use
- Assist in tracking and data collection using VHF, GPS, camera traps, and other field monitoring tools
- Record ecological and behavioral observations in a standardized format
- Support community engagement and awareness activities related to pangolin conservation
- Assist with handling and data collection for rescued and rehabilitated pangolins, and potentially assist with rehabilitation of rescued animals
- Maintain accurate field logs and contribute to research reports
- Work collaboratively with conservation partners, private stakeholders, local communities, and government agencies when needed
