Since 2002, Blue Ridge Therapeutic Wilderness has helped teens (12–17) and young adults (18–30) reset, reconnect, and thrive. Based in the North Georgia and Western North Carolina mountains (HQ in Clayton, GA), we combine evidence-based therapy with immersive wilderness living to spark lasting transformation.
What You’ll Do:
Live and work outdoors 8 days on, 6 days off (Tues–Tues). As a Field Instructor, you'll guide students through a journey of growth—managing safety, leading discussions, teaching backcountry skills, and helping them understand their values and choices. You’ll backpack, cook over fires, hold strong boundaries, and support students through breakthroughs.

- $150–$215/day (based on experience)

What You’ll Need:
- 21+ years old
- HS diploma or GED (college or certifications = bonus)
- First Aid, CPR/AED (within 90 days of hire)
- Physically fit to hike w/ 50+ lbs
- Clear drug, background, and physical screenings
Preferred but not required:
Experience with youth, mental health, outdoor living, teaching, or group leadership.
Live nearby? Awesome. Live farther? No problem—just know we don’t provide housing on off-days.
