As the Forest Genetics & Regeneration Systems Manager, you are responsible for providing strategic leadership and program management for the modernization and long-term sustainability of Green Diamond Resource Company’s forest regeneration systems within the California Timberlands. The incumbent leads the Company’s nursery production systems, tissue culture laboratory, seed production, and tree improvement programs to ensure reliable, high-quality, and cost-efficient production and deployment of genetically improved planting stock for future forests.

An example of your responsibilities:

• Provide leadership for modernization of the Company’s nursery production systems, tissue culture laboratory, seed production, and tree improvement programs.
• Develop and implement a multi-year strategic plan to ensure long-term sustainability of regeneration infrastructure and planting stock supply.
• Establish quality standards, evaluation protocols, and field-testing systems.
• Oversee long-term forest genetics and tree improvement strategies for coast redwood and Douglas-fir.
• Conduct economic evaluations and provide data-driven recommendations to executive leadership.
• Represent Green Diamond in regional and national forums.
