California State Parks, Sierra District, Forest Management Crew (FMC).

Daily reporting location is Sugar Pine Point State Park, Lake Tahoe.  Job openings for first year crewmembers, 2018 season. 

Work season: April 02 or 16, through December 14 2018. 

This is a fuels crew responsible for the 17 state parks of the Sierra District. 

The job dutys include, but not limited to hazard tree removal, campground opening, hazardous fuel reduction, forest thinning, chipping, stacking burn piles, and prescribed fire pile burning and understory burns.  Training will be given in chainsaw operations, tree felling, and prescribed fire. 

Starting wage is $12.72 per hour.
