The Quinault Division of Natural Resources (QDNR) is seeking a skilled GIS Specialist to support the stewardship and management of the Quinault Indian Nation’s forest lands and natural resources.
This position provides geographic data acquisition, spatial analysis, mapping, and GIS system support across forestry and natural resource programs. The GIS Specialist ensures accurate land ownership data, maintains forest inventory and vegetation coverages, supports GPS data management, and produces technical maps and analyses for operational, legal, and policy needs.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop GIS analyses and custom map products
- Maintain geodatabases and synchronize forest inventory data
- Support ArcGIS Enterprise & ArcGIS Online environments
- Manage GPS data collection and updates
- Provide technical GIS/GPS support and training to staff
- Maintain GIS hardware and software systems
Minimum Qualifications
- Associate’s degree in GIS, Geography, Computer Science, or related field (Bachelor’s preferred)
- Four (4) years of GIS experience (education/experience combination considered)
- Proficiency in ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Enterprise/Online, Python, and GPS technologies
- Valid driver’s license and ability to meet QIN insurance requirements
