Location: Hybrid/Cottonwood, AZ | Reports To: Executive Director

Friends of the Verde River is seeking an organized, collaborative, and detail-oriented Grant Manager to oversee the administration of approximately 30 active grants and funding agreements that support the organization’s restoration, conservation, and outreach programs. This hybrid position plays a critical role in ensuring grant compliance, managing budgets and reimbursements, coordinating reporting, and supporting proposal development to help advance conservation efforts throughout the Verde River watershed.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing grant administration, compliance, reporting, and reimbursement requests
  • Monitoring grant budgets and expenditures to ensure compliance with funding requirements
  • Coordinating with program managers and staff to support successful grant-funded projects
  • Developing annual grant budgets and staff funding allocation plans
  • Supporting grant proposal development and long-term funding planning
  • Building and improving systems for grant tracking, compliance, and organizational planning

Compensation is competitive and based on experience, with an excellent benefits package. This is a full-time, exempt position, although less than full-time may be considered for the right candidate.
