Center for Arts and Ecology at Desert of Maine (Freeport, ME)

The Center for Arts and Ecology at the Desert of Maine is seeking interns for the summer of 2026. This is a unique opportunity for university students looking to gain hands-on experience in the fields of outdoor education, ecology/geology, arts/music events,  as well as media and community development.

Position Details:

• Pay rate: $18/hour
• Flexible hours based on field trips, programming, and special events
• Dates: Early May Through End of August

Responsibilities:

• Lead field trip tours and programming
• Assist with special events
• Contribute to social media and outreach

Qualifications:

• Pursuing a degree in relevant fields
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Interest in arts, ecology, and community engagement
