Job Summary
Sound Native Plants is looking for new crew members to join our Olympia area team in support of native habitat restoration. Field Technicians will work in small teams performing vegetation maintenance and a wide variety of habitat restoration and maintenance activities, including weed control, mulching and planting. Desired Qualifications:- Ecological restoration, landscaping, or horticulture experience a plus.-Ability to learn and identify native plants and invasive weeds.-Strong preference given to candidates with backgrounds in planting, plant ID, herbicide application, and prior outdoor physical labor work, and ropes experience.-Must be able to carry out hard physical labor in all weather conditions-Maintain physical fitness level to perform job tasks - able to lift and carry 50 lbs., crouch, bend, stand, walk for 8-10 hours each day over rough, uneven or slippery terrain and in all weather conditions.-Proficient, safe, proper use of equipment and power tools.-Reliable transportation to meet at pickup or site locations.
