Installation Construction Contracts Manager – Ecological Projects

Watershed Progressive is hiring an Installation Construction Contracts Manager to oversee contracts and on-site installations for our regenerative landscape projects!
Join our small, mission-driven team in advancing “connecting communities with their watersheds through integrated strategies for a healthy, resilient future.” Based in Sierra or Mendocino, you'll manage contracts, coordinate installations (e.g., greywater systems, bioswales, rain gardens, native plantings), and ensure seamless execution of ecological designs that promote water conservation and habitat restoration.
Key Responsibilities:
- Draft, negotiate, and manage construction contracts for installation projects, ensuring compliance with environmental regs and client needs.
- Oversee on-site installations: Coordinate crews, timelines, budgets, and quality control for water-wise features like greywater reuse, stormwater management, and low-water landscapes.
- Handle procurement, vendor relations, and invoicing; track project progress using tools like Excel or project software.
- Collaborate with design, engineering, and field teams to resolve issues and deliver multi-benefit outcomes (e.g., carbon sequestration, flood mitigation).
- Conduct site inspections, safety checks, and post-install reporting to uphold regenerative standards.
Required Qualifications:
- 5+ years in construction contract management, preferably in landscape, environmental, or installation fields.
- Experience with ecological/regenerative projects (e.g., native plants, water systems, LID/BMPs).
- Strong skills in contract drafting, negotiation, budgeting, and project tracking (proficient in Excel, MS Project, or similar).
- Knowledge of CA construction regs, safety standards, and sustainable practices.
- Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving; ability to manage multiple projects.
- Physically able to visit sites (travel required); valid CA driver's license.
Preferred Skills:
- Certifications (e.g., PMP, LEED, or construction management).
- Familiarity with Sierra/Mendocino regional conditions (e.g., mountain/coastal watersheds).
- Experience as a consultant or in part-time roles for flexibility.
