The Instructor will be responsible for assisting and/or leading Evergreen Heritage Center educational programs at EHC as well as in schools and other locations. The Instructor will  ensure that learning experiences are curriculum aligned, accessible, and impactful for the communities we serve. The Instructor will collaborate closely with the Director of Education, program staff, community partners, and leadership to strengthen the organization’s educational offerings and outcomes. The Instructor reports directly to the Director of Education. The Instructor position is primarily a M-F day shift position, however some evening or weekend hours may be required for events and/or workshops.

Responsibilities:

• Serve as an instructor for EHC educational programs
• Lead and prepare for EHC educational programs and events
• Assist in developing EHC program activities and events as requested
• Assist in creating and maintaining a list of supplies/materials needed for EHC educational programs and events
• Provide input into the educational programs and events offered by EHC
• Participate regularly in EHC staff meetings
• Provide input for marketing materials for EHC educational programs
• Assist in preparing and compiling pre/post –test data 
• Assist in preparing and compiling teacher evaluations
• Maintain participation and performance documentation on all educational programs
• Provide input for educational program-related grant applications and reports
• Assist in developing and conducting workshops, tours, outreach events, etc… as assigned

Qualifications and Skills Required:

• Bachelor’s degree in Education, (environmental or other science preferred).
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Experience with Google Drive and Google Apps
• Relevant teaching  and classroom management experience
• Ability to work collaboratively with a team 

Benefits:

Instructor will work as an Independent Contractor and receive a 1099 

• 30-35 hours per week
• M-F day shift, with occasional evenings and /or weekends
