The Land Stewardship Coordinator position is through the TerraCorps Service Program (part of AmeriCorps) and members receive a stipend for their service, education award, and other benefits.  It runs from September 22, 2025 to July 31, 2026.   This is a great opportunity for anyone looking to gain valuable experience in land stewardship, conservation, project management, and volunteer coordination.  

The position will support hands-on stewardship of Opacum's conservation properties while expanding our stewardship program. Potential projects include:

• Setting up Landscape software to track stewardship needs on Opacum properties and establish property monitoring protocols.
• Establishing a volunteer stewardship program to assist with property monitoring including coordinating property workdays for trail improvements, habitat management, and maintenance.
• Coordinating educational walks on our properties about environmental stewardship, or educational activities on environmentally conscious practices.
