Landscape Ecologist Positions (2) – Restoration effectiveness at scale / Landscape connectivity

Two postdoctoral or research scientist positions are immediately available (October 2023) with Dr. Julie Heinrichs at the Natural Resource Ecology Laboratory, Colorado State University. The research projects will focus on developing actionable science to 1) assess the effectiveness of past and ongoing landscape restoration actions, and 2) detect and monitor changes in connectivity to identify opportunities for conservation and restoration at regional and landscape-levels. Projects will use spatial and quantitative modeling to identify and assess landscape-level strategies to restore and connect ecological sites and conserve wildlife and ecosystems. The ecologists will work closely with collaborators at the USGS Fort Collins Science Center and participate in the co-production of actionable science in support of federal agencies.
