Typical work may include:

- Moving and spreading mulch
- Removing sod and overgrown vegetation
- Pruning and general garden care
- Planting and transplanting
- Assisting with landscape installations
- Hardscaping and stonework
- Using hand tools and landscaping equipment
- General cleanup and hauling
What I'm Looking For
Most importantly, you should be:
- Dependable and hardworking
- Comfortable doing physically demanding outdoor work
- Comfortable working in heat and getting dirty
- Someone who takes pride in doing a job well
- Able to work both independently and as part of a small team
- Willing to learn and take direction
- Kind, respectful, and easy to work with
Experience & Skills
Landscaping or gardening experience is a big plus, and I'm especially interested in someone with experience in:
- Hardscaping
- Landscape installation
- Soil preparation and grading
- Sod removal
- Planting
- Pruning
- Invasive plant removal
- Operating landscaping tools and equipment
- Native plants and ecological gardening
Native plant knowledge is preferred but not required. I'm happy to teach someone who is enthusiastic about learning.
Why Work With The Prairie Stylist?
I care about creating landscapes that support pollinators, birds, and other wildlife while also being beautiful and enjoyable for the people who live in them.
Because the business is growing, there is room for the right person to grow with it. I'm looking for someone who may eventually want to take on more responsibility and become an important part of the business.
If you love working outside, enjoy physical work, and like the idea of helping build something from the ground up, I'd love to hear from you.
