Manager, Ambassadors of the Environment

Primary responsibility is to provide leadership, direction and supervision of staff in the daily operations of Jean-Michel Cousteau’s Ambassadors of the Environment program. This is an environmental education program for guests of Zadun a Ritz-Carlton Reserve hotel. The Manager is to oversee the coordination of all guest activities, be directly involved in programming, budgeting, forecasting, payroll and scheduling, as well as product inventory and ordering. The Director serves as the voice of the program, responding to media inquiries, interviews, as well as promoting the program through sales, marketing, and social media channels. He/She will also be responsible for liaising with Jean-Michel Cousteau’s Ocean Futures Society as needed for program development and enhancement.

Qualifications include

  • Bachelors degree in natural or environmental science and/or 3 years in a leadership role in an environmental education program
  • Understanding of local and global environmental issues
  • Ability to communicate with guests of all ages
  • Accounting and budgeting knowledge
  • Ability to communicate well, both orally and in writing
  • Strong computer skills
  • Proven leadership qualities
  • Fluency in English and Spanish
