Natural Areas Program Manager
Location: Natural Resources Building- Olympia, WA
Work Hours and Partial Telework flexibility may be available and considered
Salary: $89,388.00 - $104,244.00 Annually

Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic direction for natural area management and acquisition actions.
- In coordination with the Natural Areas Lead Scientist, provides direction for the program's monitoring and assessment activities
- Works with federal, state, and local agency partners and NGOs to coordinate and identify collaborative conservation opportunities
- Program Management and Administration.
- Fiscal responsibilities.
- Strategic development and outreach, including participating in meetings with the Natural Heritage Advisory Council.
- Directly supervising 2 FTE, who supervises a team of 4 FTE.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
- Three (3) years of experience managing a land and resources conservation program within the previous five (5) years.
- Two (2) years’ experience managing partner relationships that operate exclusively in conservation, recreation, or both during the previous five (5) years. This experience must include budget development.
Desired Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Public Administration, Conservation Land Management, or related field.
- Extensive knowledge, experience, or familiarity with land management activities such as invasive species control and prescribed burning.
- Knowledge and familiarity with the principles of conservation biology.
- Experience managing a statewide network of conservation sites.
