Interns will work alongside the US Forest Service or Bureau of Land Management in various locations across Colorado and southern Wyoming. Our participants will gain experience, make connections, and serve public lands.
Start dates vary by position with some starting asap! Details can be found on our website.
Current USFS positions include:
- Recreation in Minturn, Rifle, Aspen, Yampa, Dillon, and Walden, CO and Laramie, WY
- Veterans Wildland Fire/Fuels in Walden, CO
- Visitor Information Services in Aspen or Carbondale, CO
Current BLM positions include:
- Rangeland intern in Kremmling, CO
- OHV intern in Kremmling, CO
- Recreation intern in Silt, CO
- Realty intern in Meeker, CO
The majority of our intern positions are Americorps based positions, meaning, when/if you complete your season you will be eligible for a Segal Americorps Education Award. Contact us for more info
NATURAL RESOURCE INTERNSHIP PROGRAM 16-30
Internships are designed to engage youth and young adults in valuable work experiences within natural resources management agencies and non-profits. Internships allow participants to consider or advance careers and education in natural resources. RMYC provides support to all internships while the intern works under the daily supervision of the hosting public lands management agency, or non-profit.
