Nature-Based Educator, Center for Wildlife - Dynamic and unique conservation medicine and nature-based education center is seeking an outdoor-loving, lifelong-learing, public-friendly educator. The Nature-Based Educator role includes a diverse set of responsibilities including: presenting public programs; providing ambassador animal care & enrichment; overseeing volunteers & interns; and supporting department marketing and outreach efforts. This position requires the ability to be on your feet for multiple hours per day and the ability to move heavy objects occasionally.
The ideal candidate for this position will have: a combination of education and experience that complement nature-based learning, including: a bachelor's or master’s degree from college or university (ideally in wildlife ecology, conservation biology or a related field); and a minimum of 2 years experience as an educator who has worked with the public (especially with children). Experience caring for wildlife is not required.
This position is hourly, working 40 hours per week on a Tuesday through Saturday weekly schedule. Early and late hours are required regularly due to program scheduling. Hourly wage is $18 per hour. The starting date for this position is ASAP.

Recently, CFW completed fundraising, construction, and transitioning to a new, $10M facility and campus that includes a Nature Center, outdoor amphitheater, auditorium and indoor classroom, ambassador village and interpretive nature trails and outdoor play spaces.
