Biological Diversity Conservation Intern
Solom
Remote, Remote
Solom champions a future where businesses and ecosystems thrive together. Our solutions empower organizations to monitor and reduce their biodiversity footprint, addressing not only carbon emissions but the broader ecological impacts of operations.
Join us as we transform ecological data into actionable insights, fostering business decisions that protect biodiversity.
We are looking for graduate students passionate about biodiversity and that are willing to learn in the following areas:
- Landscape Ecology
- Conservation Biology
- Biogeography
- Conservation Planning
- Biodiversity Informatics
- Bioacoustics
- Forest Ecology
One of our priorities is to simplify how businesses can report species and ecosystem impacts required in new nature reporting requirements, such as the Taskforce for Nature-related Financial Disclosures (TNFD), Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD), the Kunming-Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework (GBF), and the Science-based Targets Network (SBTN).
You will be working on developing a platform to enable the conversion of ecological data into more accessible insights that are understandable for business decision-makers. To guide you through this opportunity, you will be joining a passionate team of Columbia University, Oxford University, and MIT alumni with extensive experience in wildlife conservation, government policy, and data analytics.
