What You Will Do:
As the Operations Manager, you will be responsible for all pre-trip communications with our customers, primarily school groups. You will accurately and efficiently manage pre-trip paperwork collection, communicate program logistics, and coordinate with other campus departments including Education, Sales, Facilities and Food Service to ensure a seamless customer experience.
This position takes place at our campus in Yosemite National Park (El Portal, CA), and requires regular attendance on site. This is not a remote position.
Your primary job will be:
Communication:
- Communicates regularly with Group Coordinators about pre-trip paperwork requirements and program logistics.
- Conducts ~11 weekly informational phone calls with Group Coordinators.
- Tracks and sends multiple emails to over 200 school groups a year.
- Trains new Group Coordinators on how to prepare their chaperones for a NatureBridge experience.
- Accommodates special circumstances for individuals and/or groups, including dietary restrictions and medical limitations.
- Participates in monthly cross departmental meetings including the Yosemite Management Team and National Operations Team.
Administrative:
- Campus lead for innovation and maintenance of our Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tools.
- Manages online registration, Salesforce portals, and the Program Information drive.
- Prepares weekly Site Manager, Program, and Food Service Notes.
- Collaborates with other NatureBridge campuses to revise paperwork and operational systems.
- Updates and stewards the NatureBridge Yosemite webpage.
Risk Management:
- Addresses risk management concerns with clients/vendors and coordinates necessary modifications with associated staff.
- Works closely with Campus and National Director of Risk Management.
- Rotating Manager On Call Duties.
Other:
- Perform all other duties as assigned by supervisor.
- Occasional weekend and night work.
Compensation:
- $25/hour

Who You Are:
We are looking for candidates who have:
- Relevant administrative, operations, or educational experience.
- Excellent communicator with a strong customer service orientation
- Extremely detail oriented with organizational, task, and time management skills
- Capable of working as part of a collaborative team; maintains positive working relationships with staff and guests.
- Strong problem-solving skills; able to make decisions independently while meeting the needs of multiple stakeholders
- Demonstrated commitment to equity and inclusion in the workplace. - Demonstrated office experience, ability to manage and communicate information quickly and accurately
- Experience with Google Suite of apps (Calendar, Gmail, Sheets and Docs) and database management or Customer Relationship Management program (CRMs). Internet and e-mail experience require
