All One One All (AOOA) is seeking a passionate, skilled, orchard manager to join our team. Someone who loves fruit and nut trees, is excited by diverse orchard systems, and wants to help direct and grow a resilient and regenerative perennial landscape.

About AOOA

All One One All (AOOA) is a 14-acre nonprofit regenerative silvopasture farm, farm stand, education center, and distillery in New York’s Mid-Hudson Valley. Inspired by The Three Musketeers’ “All for one, one for all,” our mission is to use responsible agriculture and culinary craft to strengthen personal well-being, community prosperity, and environmental sustainability.

Entering our sixth season, we grow vegetables, herbs, flowers, fruits, and nuts for our farm stand, kitchen, and distillery while hosting workshops, community events, and seasonal gatherings that highlight what a regenerative farm can produce.

Position Overview

We are looking for an orchard manager with a genuine passion for developing diverse orchard, fodder and silvopasture systems. This role supports the Farm Manager in stewarding our orchard, fodder rows, and perennial understories. The ideal candidate has at least 4 seasons of orchard management experience and is excited about holistic orchard care, agroforestry, and biodiversity. Design experience preferred.

Compensation & Schedule

  • $28/hr and up, based on experience
  • Full-time: 20–30 hrs/week in winter, 40–45 hrs/week in spring–fall
  • Benefits: veggies and eggs, earned vacation days, federal holidays, sick days, employee-sponsored health insurance, 401k
  • 30-minute unpaid lunch

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the development and design of our growing orchard and silvopasture system.
  • Lead all orchard/silvopasture related activities including: planting, pruning, trellising, weed management, irrigation, mulching, fertility, and propagation.
  • Train the farm team on necessary activities as needed.
  • Manage planting schedules and plant orders.
  • Manage pests and disease using holistic, regenerative practices.
  • Manage pasture health in coordination with the Farm Manager and the livestock program, including assisting in developing grazing plans.
  • Enhance habitat for pollinators and beneficial insects.
  • Coordinate harvests with the farm stand and distillery teams.
  • Keep detailed records and document orchard processes, including maintaining accurate and up to date archive sets and excel tracking documents.
  • Support vegetable, herb, and flower production as needed.
  • Oversee volunteer tasks and ensure safe, efficient workflow.
  • Operate tractors and equipment safely.
  • Represent AOOA with professionalism and warmth.

Who You Are

  • Minimum 4 seasons orchard management experience, preferably with holistic or ecological focus.
  • Deep love for fruit and nut trees and curiosity about diverse perennial systems.
  • Experience with agroforestry, alley cropping, or regenerative perennial design.
  • Strong communication, organization, and record-keeping skills.
  • Able to lift 50 lbs and perform regular farm labor involving bending, kneeling, and squatting.
  • Able to troubleshoot irrigation systems, equipment, and infrastructure.
  • Dependable, solutions-oriented, and comfortable working independently or with a team.

Note: Housing is not provided, and the farm is not easily accessible via public transit.
