The Outdoor Fund (OF) is a conservation focused grant-making not-for-profit charity, supporting thousands of projects and uniting conservation partners across North America.

The Outdoor Fund Coordinator assists with grant management processes, partner relations, board meeting preparation, promotions/marketing, reporting and administrative functions all related to the OF.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Handle all customer service inquiries and correspondence for the OF to ensure compliance.  Ensure grant applications and paperwork are appropriately filled out, applicants are screened for non-profit status and project alignment to OF goals. (15%)
  • Prepare and present summary level reporting of qualified applications to the Board of Directors. (15%)
  • Process and track grants through life cycle from the grant agreement, to grant fulfillment, and final reporting. Including processing decline notifications. (25%)
  • Collaborate and coordinate with retail stores and serve as liaison to regional retail staff ensuring OF processes and training are effective and create in-market excitement about OF contributions in retail communities. This includes documenting and updating OF retail processes. (15%)
  • Build and maintain partnerships with existing and new grant recipients and conservation partners. (15%)
  • Assist in the planning and execution of marketing, communication and public relations activities for the OF.  Collaborate with internal and external partners to ensure marketing efforts are effective. (10%)
  • Provide summary level reporting related to grants approved and overall impact data (5%)
  • ALL OTHER DUTIES AS ASSIGNED

EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum Degree Required:  Bachelor’s Degree

Experience: Experience with conservation organizations preferred

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITY:

  • Excellent communication skills and focus on customer service
  • Detail oriented and organized
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Ability to manage multiple projects
  • Passion for conserving our outdoor heritage (e.g. hunting, fishing, camping, boating, recreational shooting) for future generations.
