Chocorua Lake Conservancy (CLC) is seeking a half-term AmeriCorps member from May 18 to October 28, 2026. 

The Outreach & Access Steward will support sustainable public access at Chocorua Lake and on conservation land in the Chocorua Lake Basin; assist with trail maintenance; support volunteer projects on CLC conservation properties; assist with educational programs; and communicate CLC's work.

Over 150,000 people visit Chocorua Lake each year to photograph, picnic, swim, paddle, and fish. CLC manages three lake access areas, 17 conservation properties, and 24 trails on Mount Chocorua and conservation land.

AmeriCorps positions come with free housing, a $10,200 living allowance, an educational award of $3,697, student loan forbearance, Wilderness First Aid/CPR Certification, a Commercial Boating Licence, the possibility of other professional trainings, and the opportunity to learn about the work of a small land trust and gain valuable experience in conservation work.
