American Conservation Experience Corpus Christi, Texas
Job Type Paid permanent

American Conservation Experience (ACE) is a dynamic nonprofit organization dedicated to providing rewarding environmental service opportunities that harness the idealism and energy of a volunteer labor force to help restore America’s public lands.  ACE has a national reputation for providing exceptional training and support for crews to safely and economically implement technically complex and physically demanding outdoor conservation projects in partnership with the US Forest Service, Bureau of Land Management, National Park Service, US Fish and Wildlife Service and numerous state and local land management partners.

Job Title:

Outreach and Supplies Coordinator

ACE is seeking an Outreach and Supplies Coordinator for its brand new Conservation Corps branch based out of Corpus Christi, Texas. As the ACE Texas branch continues to grow, the Outreach and Supplies Coordinator will be essential in ensuring the success of the program through recruiting, managing, and mentoring local young adults and emerging conservationists from the Corpus Christi area while also building and fostering community partnerships throughout the Gulf region of Texas.

The ACE Texas branch opened in October 2017 and the conservation crews successfully restored over 1,000 acres of coastal and riparian habitat in partnership with US Fish and Wildlife Service, Texas State Parks and Wildlife, and local communities. This non-residential branch is unique to ACE’s general Conservation Corps model, where local young adults are recruited to perform a wide array of riparian and coastal restoration activities throughout Texas.

Since the branch has been successful and continues to grow, ACE Texas is in need of hiring a highly-motivated and dedicated young professional to serve as its first-ever Outreach and Supplies Coordinator to recruit, manage, and mentor the next generation of conservationists and environmental stewards.
