Mid-Columbia Fisheries Enhancement Group (MCF) is seeking 2 enthusiastic individuals to fill the seasonal positions of Outreach Interns. These positions are ideal for outgoing, organized, detail-oriented and independently motivated individuals with a passion for outdoor recreation, native fish conservation, and/or environmental science and education. Intern responsibilities will include providing outreach to anglers, campers, and other recreationists at campgrounds, trailheads, and river access sites. Outreach topics include bull trout identification and conservation, fish habitat needs, recreation ethics such as Leave No Trace, and information about planned and ongoing river restoration efforts. This position involves working outdoors in remote recreation areas, often in and around flowing water, occasionally performing manual labor in variable weather conditions, occasional night work, and camping in the field at least 1 day per week. Interns will work under direct supervision of the Outreach Crew Lead and Education & Outreach Coordinator. These positions will also work with other MCF Staff, including the Bull Trout Task Force, as well as agency partners and volunteers.

Schedule and Duration: These positions will work an average of 35 hours a week, and will typically work weekends, Friday-Monday up to 10 hours per day with 1 night of camping per week. Positions are expected to begin on June 20th, 2026 and end in early-to mid- September, 2026.
