The Gilbert Ray Campground in scenic Tucson Mountain Park is the site of 160 campsites for RVs and tents. There are two available intermittent positions for the Park Visitor Center Clerk in the Conservation Lands and Resources Department. These positions will coordinate campers’ registration and payments as well as on-site logistics including helping campers locate their reserved campsite and answering campers’ questions related to tourism and attractions, and other issues of interest to campers visiting the Sonoran Desert. The registration building open during the peak camping season, approximately October through May, where the Park Visitor Center Clerk greets incoming campers who have either made a reservation online via Pima County’s registration application or need to make a reservation on-site.
