The Philanthropic Coordinator a full-time, permanent position responsible for supporting the philanthropic efforts of the Ice Age Trail Alliance. They will contribute to the Alliance’s fundraising goals through writing grants, designing and hosting fundraising events, and collaborating with corporate partners.
Successful applicant must:
• Be able to communicate clearly and effectively with property owners, focusing on understanding their goals and objectives for their property.
• Have successful experience writing and reporting on grants
• Have experience conducting philanthropic research
• Have excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Have strong organizational skills, including experience planning events
• Have a valid driver’s license and a reliable, personal vehicle (mileage reimbursement provided at federal mileage rate)
Desired Attributes/trainings/certifications:
• Experience with, and interest in, a conservation and recreation-related organization
• Ability to meet deadlines and set priorities
• Undertake occasional overnight travel to official Alliance functions, conferences, and site visits and attend occasional evening or weekend events
• Past or present affiliation with non-profit, conservation, and recreation organization(s) is desirable
• Must be personable, with excellent public speaking capabilities and oral and written communication skills
• The position requires travel, so the incumbent must have their own vehicle and will be exposed to weather and road conditions of all seasons
