Greenbrier County Farmland Protection Board – Lewisburg, WV
The Greenbrier County Farmland Protection Board (GCFPB) seeks a self-motivated Program Director to lead farmland conservation efforts, manage operations, and serve as the primary liaison with landowners, partners, and the community.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate board meetings, records, and compliance requirements
- Manage outreach and conservation easement applications
- Serve as the main point of contact for stakeholders
- Oversee budgets, reporting, and funding applications
- Coordinate contractors and annual easement monitoring
Qualifications
- Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills
- Experience managing projects, budgets, and partnerships
- Familiarity with agriculture, conservation, or land use programs preferred
- Knowledge of Greenbrier County and local community a plus
Position Details
- Part-time, flexible schedule (evenings/weekends as needed)
- $15,000 - $20,000 annually (1099 contractor)
- Monthly board meetings in Lewisburg; some travel required
