Greenbrier County Farmland Protection Board – Lewisburg, WV

The Greenbrier County Farmland Protection Board (GCFPB) seeks a self-motivated Program Director to lead farmland conservation efforts, manage operations, and serve as the primary liaison with landowners, partners, and the community.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate board meetings, records, and compliance requirements
• Manage outreach and conservation easement applications
• Serve as the main point of contact for stakeholders
• Oversee budgets, reporting, and funding applications
• Coordinate contractors and annual easement monitoring

Qualifications

• Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills
• Experience managing projects, budgets, and partnerships
• Familiarity with agriculture, conservation, or land use programs preferred
• Knowledge of Greenbrier County and local community a plus

Position Details

• Part-time, flexible schedule (evenings/weekends as needed)
• $15,000 - $20,000 annually (1099 contractor)
• Monthly board meetings in Lewisburg; some travel required
