Programs Intern

Lake George Land Conservancy

Bolton Landing, New York

Job Type Paid Internship
Salary $18 per hour
Deadline Mar 01, 2026

Background:

The Lake George Land Conservancy (LGLC) is an accredited nonprofit land trust dedicated to working with willing landowners and other partners to protect land that protects the world-renowned water quality of Lake George and the natural resources of the Lake George watershed.

Since 1988, the LGLC and its partners have permanently protected 14,439 acres of Lake George wilderness and more than seven miles of shoreline. The LGLC owns and/or manages 13 featured parks and preserves that are open to the public year-round with nearly 40 miles of trails for hiking, snowshoeing, cross-country skiing, and, at some preserves, hunting and snowmobiling.

The LGLC’s Conservation Program is complemented by its Education and Outreach Program, through which the LGLC offers public hikes and events, educational programs on local natural history, and develops interpretive materials for display and for public speaking opportunities.
