Project Manager (Wetland Mitigation Projects)
Location: South Florida (Hendry, Lee, Collier, Broward, Dade, Polk Counties)
Salary: Hourly, Full-Time – Negotiable ($22 to $28 per hour)

Primary Duty:
The position has been created to support the Vice President of Operations in completing the functions necessary for the successful management and restoration of mitigation bank projects throughout Florida. This is a multifaceted positions with responsibilities that will primarily include construction oversight and site preparation prior to construction of wetland restoration sites. Position will transition to short management of the sites following completion of construction.
Qualifications:
- Valid Driver’s License
- Ability to Acquire Commercial Applicator’s License (CORE, Wetlands, Natural Areas)
- Willingness to work in sometimes harsh or inclement South Florida conditions (heat, bugs, water, humidity, animals).
Applicant must reside in South Florida. - Travel to projects in Broward, Miami-Dade, St. Lucie, Polk, and Hendry County required.
- Applicant must have knowledge and experience in construction operations on work sites and be able to do QA/QC of grading construction.
Desired Experience:
SELF-MOTIVATED AND ABLE TO WORK UNSUPERVISED.

- Operation of ORV’s, Airboats, Swamp Buggies, Drones
- Ecological Background or Interest
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Oversee subcontractors and coordinate with Field Supervisors who will be performing a wide array of environmental construction and maintenance services.
- Maintain adequate project records including daily field reports, herbicide logs, phone conversations and meeting records.
- Maintain sufficient familiarization with all documentation including but not limited to all licenses and permits from all applicable regulatory agencies necessary to effectively manage the operations of and including construction planting and maintenance.
- Follow designated design and construction quality control standards.
- Ensure the necessary materials are available to complete landscape installations, land clearing, exotic plant removal, excavation, etc.
- Inform the Vice President of Operations of scheduling, workload, or unusual conditions or problems requiring management coordination.
- Maintain and update project schedule.
- Provide management with weekly report detailing all activities.
- Completing work in a timely and professional manner.
- Coordinate equipment and supplies to projects as well as monitoring purchasing, chemical usage, maintenance, and repairs.
- Assist in problem solving at job sites with Field Supervisors.
