We are looking for a kind, experienced field biologist to train and manage our field team and work with our partners (Yakama Nation and University of Washington) in the field. Additionally, there will be office work including data entry, management, QAQC, and nonprofit operations
We have not set a field schedule yet but it will likely be Monday to Friday in the field during June to mid-December 2026; January to April 2027; June to October 15, 2027; and January to April 2028.
The 2026 and 2027 summer/fall field seasons will involve field work comprising summer camera surveys, prey and meadow surveys, and fall fox trapping followed by snow tracking as conditions permit during November and December.
The 2027 and 2028 winter field seasons will run from January to April, and comprise winter snow tracking for foxes and coyotes in fox home ranges, and possibly fox box trapping.
Housing will be provided during the field seasons around the greater Mt. Rainier area with specific locations still pending. You would be in a home office during May and mid-October to December 31st 2027.
