  • Provide technical assistance to landowners and ranchers on livestock management practices that support conservation goals.
  • Conduct range and wildlife habitat assessments, including vegetation surveys, wildlife population monitoring, and soil health evaluations.
  • Collaborate with WHF staff, governmental agencies, and conservation partners to design and manage habitat restoration projects.

  • Demonstrated experience working with private landowners and ranchers to implement conservation practices.
  • Familiarity with tools and techniques for habitat restoration, such as prescribed grazing, rotational grazing systems, and invasive species management.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage diverse stakeholders, including ranchers, farmers, and conservation partners.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects in a field-based environment.
  • Proficiency in data collection, GIS mapping, and report writing.
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel within the Texas Mid-Coast region.
