Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role located in Ashland, OR. The Rogue Riverkeeper Program Manager will lead and oversee the Rogue Riverkeeper program, developing and implementing strategies to protect clean water in the Rogue Basin. Responsibilities include conducting water quality monitoring, advocating for policies and regulations that safeguard local watersheds, building partnerships with community stakeholders, coordinating outreach and public education, and engaging volunteers. This role requires planning and executing advocacy campaigns while representing the organization in public discussions and negotiations.
Qualifications
- Proven expertise in program management, strategic planning, and project execution
- Knowledge of water quality, environmental policy, and conservation practices
- Ability to engage and collaborate with local communities, stakeholders, and volunteers
- Excellent communication, public speaking, and advocacy skills
- Experience with policy development and negotiation
- Familiarity with water quality monitoring techniques and environmental data analysis
- Strong organizational abilities and the capability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- A bachelor's degree in environmental studies, natural resource management, or a related field is preferred
