Greenbelt has an opening for an enthusiastic professional for the full-time seasonal position of 
Land Steward Technician.
Core Responsibilities and Scope
• General maintenance of Greenbelt properties, including but not limited to trail work, 
field and trail mowing, sign installation, property clean-up, boundary marking and other 
work as directed; 
• Support upkeep of Greenbelt’s headquarters building and grounds at the Cox 
Reservation and Becker Center in Essex
• Assist with invasive plant control initiatives;
• Assist with special event planning, set-up and management, occasionally on 
weeknights and weekends;
• Assist with a variety of conservation biology focused initiatives like Osprey and 
grassland bird programs;
• Perform other tasks as directed

The land stewardship technician is a full-time (40 hours per week) temporary position paid at 
an hourly rate of $23.00 per hour with a duration of April 2026 thru October 2026. The Land 
Stewardship Technician supports all aspects of the land stewardship department across 
Essex County, MA. This position will report to Greenbelt’s Director of Stewardship Field 
Operations and Greenbelt’s Land and Trails Manager, and work closely with other 
Stewardship and Greenbelt staff
