What We Can Achieve Together:

The Senior DevOps Engineer plays a pivotal role in overseeing the technical implementation of Infrastructure as Code, automation, and cloud service management. This encompasses executing toptier performance tuning and recovery procedures for mission-critical enterprise systems. As a technical expert in Infrastructure as Code (IaS), Terraform, AWS automation, and system administration within a complex global organization, the position requires additional proficiency in Windows Server and Active Directory technologies. 

The ideal candidate is characterized by strong analytical abilities and exceptional problem-solving skills. They are expected to assume a leading technical role in new areas, showcasing the ability to swiftly acquire in-depth knowledge, both technical and non-technical, even without prior experience or formal training. Demonstrated adaptability and effectiveness in dynamic environments are essential. Moreover, the candidate should excel in functioning creatively and efficiently within a highly cost-conscious setting. Vendor issue management expertise, including data capture and upload, along with adeptness in addressing bugs and problems through effective communication, is also a key requirement for this position.

We’re Looking for You:

You will be:

Day to day includes:

  • Engineering and Project Support
    • Plan system upgrades and cloud requirements, considering business needs and goals across system lifecycles.
    • Test procedures for new/upgraded servers, including installation, upgrades, cloud implementation, and disaster recovery.
    • Lead technical decisions in diverse project teams and proactively plan infrastructure based on business needs.
    • Author Terraform (HCL) code for the Infrastructure as Code pipeline in AWS support.
    • Engineer and test disaster recovery processes for new systems or upgrades.
    • Coordinate with DBAs, Network Engineers, Desktop Standards staff, and Project Technical Leads.
    • Serve as a technical leader on systems development projects.

What You’ll Bring:

  • Bachelor degree with a technical major such as engineering or computer science, or equivalent work experience
  • Five or more years of experience administering a Active Directory, Hybrid AD environment of at least 1000 users.
  • Three or more years of experience implementing and maintaining Amazon Web Services (AWS) cloud infrastructure, supporting line of business applications. 
  • Three or more years of experience implementing and maintaining complex application environments, using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) Terraform, Bitbucket/Github CI/CD pipelines. 
  • Demonstrated proficiency in technical analysis and written technical documentation.
  • Experience writing Terraform (HCL) code.
  • Experience with OS-level scripting environments and interpreted languages.

BONUS

  • Experience supporting applications within an enterprise-scale environment (at least 1,000 users).
  • Certifications: AWS Certified Solutions Architect (Professional or Associate) .
  • Certifications: HashiCorp Certified Terraform Associate.
  • Experience with hosted and cloud-based solutions and migrations to cloud platforms, such as Office 365, Azure, and Amazon Web Services.  
  • Because our environment also includes non-Windows servers and systems, should be comfortable working in a heterogeneous environment that includes Linux-based systems.

Salary Information:

The starting pay range for a candidate selected for this position is generally within the range of $110,600-$165,900 for annual base salary. This range only applies to candidates whose country of employment is the USA. Where a successful candidate’s actual pay will fall within this range will be based on a variety of factors, including, for example, the candidate's location, qualifications, specific skills, and experience. Please note countries outside the USA would have a different pay range in the local currency based on the local labor market, and not tied to USA pay or ranges. Your geographic location will be confirmed during the recruitment.
