Are you passionate about education, conservation, and creating meaningful experiences for learners of all ages?
The St. Louis Aquarium Foundation is hiring a Senior Educator to help us inspire future water stewards through engaging STEM programming, school break camps, and outreach initiatives!

What You’ll Do:

  • Deliver dynamic, hands-on programs for K–12 students, families, and community groups (onsite, outreach, and virtual)
  • Lead our school break camps and act as a primary educator for scheduled programs
  • Support program coordination, volunteer engagement, and scheduling of ambassador animal encounters
  • Handle ambassador animals such as reptiles, amphibians, and insects during educational presentations
  • Manage H2O Friends budgets and confirm school eligibility for funding
  • Collaborate with fellow educators, volunteers, and program teams to provide high-quality learning experiences

What We’re Looking For:

  • At least three years of experience working with youth and a Bachelor’s degree in education, science, or a related field
  • Confidence managing a classroom or group environment
  • Comfortable handling animals (or willing to learn!)
  • Passion for researching wildlife & ecosystems to keep lessons fresh and science-based
  • Clear communication, presenting with enthusiasm, and adaptable in a fast-paced, guest-facing environment

Bonus Points For:

  • Experience working with diverse learners or special education
  • A strong passion for marine biology and conservation
  • Previous experience with program budgets or grant-funded initiatives
