Sound Native Plants is looking for experienced ecological restoration laborers for native plant installation and green stormwater infrastructure maintenance in Multnomah and Columbia Counties. The position is temporary and on call, with wages ranging from $20 to $30.24 per hour (or more) depending on task and project. The project duration is anticipated to be September through December, with a dynamic weekly schedule based on site conditions. We are seeking experienced applicants only who currently live in the Portland metro area and are available to start work on short notice.

Required Qualifications:

• Experienced ecological restoration laborer / technician
• Knowledge of native and introduced plants
• Experience in outdoor manual labor and native plant installation
• Ability to perform physical labor for 8-10 hours per day in a variety of job tasks, including but not limited to lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs, digging, bending repeatedly, standing on concrete, walking off trail over steep, uneven, and/or slippery terrain, and working in adverse weather conditions
• Ability to safely and properly use equipment and power tools
• Have reliable transportation to pickup locations or job sites

Starting wage is $20.00/hr. The position is temporary, on call, Monday – Friday.
